About Me

Like many young college students, I lacked work experience and clarity about my career path. After graduating with a liberal arts degree from Northwestern University, I worked for several years in the business field. In search of more fulfilling work, I continued to work in business while earning a master's degree in counseling from the University of Dayton. Leaving the business world behind, I completed a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Purdue University in 2008, which included a pre-doctoral internship at a college counseling center. I completed post-doctoral hours as a behavioral clinician at a psychiatric hospital. Since then, I have worked as an independent counseling psychologist in two private practices in Indiana before moving to Tennessee.

I have passion for building strong relationships with my clients. I appreciate the courage it takes and recognize the empathy needed for them to be open and voice their concerns in each counseling session. I believe in our ability to navigate through life challenges, and I look forward to working with clients to help them live authentically, with confidence, determination, and purpose.

Away from the office, I enjoy quality time with friends and family, exercise, sporting events, travel, yard work, and the culinary delights in the Nashville area.
